![]() ![]() Liz had been working for the office of Appeals longer than anyone else on the call. In fact she had a previous background in researching and thus proved to be our most knowledgeable member on this call. and, Liz – Of the officers on the phone, Liz was the most experienced and technically inclined.Mary also expressed the need to use multiple search terms for the search criteria. She was in favor of a faster search solution than the one provided with the Windows XP operating system. She pointed out immediate difficulties with the current system such as searching through the fileserver and the amount of time it takes to go through this process. In fact, Mary is the newest employee of the group so she was fresh with ideas. Mary – Mary was a little more tech savvy than her cohort Steve.Steve expressed how fed up he was with the software and figured old school methods were better than the technology available to him to be productive. ![]() Because of this, he has resorted to using archaic methods involving paper and a reliance on his own memory to get the job done. Dave –Dave is a very low tech type of guy, so he tends to get frustrated rather quickly when technology does not fulfill the promise of efficiency and ease of use he needs.The officers came to the table with all of their questions, gripes and suggestions for solution that would help make their jobs easier. ![]() This made for an interesting audience in which we would be able to find a solution for. From what I gathered of Twanisha’s notes, the three officers‘ experience and computer skill widely varied from one to another. Twanisha held the fort down alone making sure to ask the questions we planned to ask the officers. Unfortunately I was unable to neither attend nor participate because I was in Miami dealing some medical problems. On Monday October 20, the long awaited conference call took place with the three officers from around the state. ![]()
